HYSEA holds Infrastructure Summit 2.0 in Hyd

Hyderabad The Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association (Hysea) organised second edition of its Infrastructure Summit 2021 with the theme of "A quest for legacy: Next gen Infra" here on Friday.
The annual event featured thought leaders and policy makers who shared their expertise about future evolution of smart and sustainable infrastructure specific to IT&ITES Industry. It focuses on smart mobility, energy and workplace.
Chief guest of the event Arvind Kumar, Special Chief Secretary, MA&UD and Director General (NIUM), Govt of Telangana, said: "The number of urban areas in the State have risen from 78 in 2015 to 142 at present and showcased the tremendous growth achieved in the last few years. This growth has been made possible largely due to some key factors like, the pro-industry policies of the govt, law and order, cost of living, which have created a conducive environment for everyone to flourish."
Sunil Sharma, Special Chief Secretary, Energy Department, Telangana, said: "Our State is fortunate to be untouched by the current energy crisis because of coal shortage. The State government is committed to encourage generation of renewable energy, especially solar energy to augment the conventional energy sources like thermal and hydel projects as power was a key to the growth of any State."
He also shared that of the 17,250 MW of power generated in the State, and the renewal power sources account for 4,445MW, one of the highest in the country.
On the occasion, Suman Mishra, CEO, Mahindra Electric Mobility, pointed out some of the urban transportation challenges. She called on the IT industry to augment its capabilities around embedded system design and power electronics, as it would truly help build better electric vehicles.
Bharani Aroll, President Hysea, said: "We have been promoting many sustainability related programmes in the Hyderabad and green energy is one the key campaigns that we are driving through this forum. We have had discussions with Government of Telangana and proposed to enter into a MoU to promote usage of green power and reduce carbon footprint."
